Probably he wants the HUI Controller mode, and to use the
converters to get into his 002 _Rack_ through lightpipe. I have
wondered myself if using an old d8b, which are relatively cheap these
days would be a cost effective alternative to a Procontrol (or
HUI/Command 8).
