Default Recommendation for a CD Player?

Hi,

I have heard different CD players and the F65 sounds clean & bright, with a
good quality sound. I also have a late 80's Yamaha 'natural sound' cdc-60
which for some reason has very unpleasant sound characteristics. My third cd
player is a cheap mid 90's Sony (don't have it here right now so I don't
know the model.) By comparison this cd player has a very flat,
one-dimensional, and somewhat aritificial sound that is not very clean.

Hi,

I am currently using a 30wpc Luxman LX33 Tube amplifier with

Vandersteen 1C
speakers and a Panasonic DVD/CD Player DVD-F65 5 disc changer. Will
upgrading the cd player make a big difference in the sound? What is

a good
cd player with a warm, sweet sound for jazz? Thank you.

No. Changing the CD/DVD player will not make a noticeable difference
in the sound of your system. If your F65 plays all the discs you feed
it, that's all you can ask from a player.
