For maximum control over the "warmth" of your system, try a pair of
parametric equalizers, one for each channel. Most audiophiles are skeptical
of this approach, so I'll point out a low-risk alternative. For
experimental purposes, check out the Behringer Ultra-Q 2200 for under $200 a
pair. Low noise, lots of control, and absolutely no doubt that you will hear
as little or much of a difference as you could wish for.
