Default Advice on audio test equiptment

I need some advice on what test equiptment I should by to make sure all
my gear is working well, and to test rentals. Basically I need a unit
that does audio generation, and measures THD, Phase distortion,
frequency response and anything else you think would be advisable to
have. I have a mx budget of $500 but would want to pay less. Any help
would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Mario

At a minimum I would want two items:

A PC with an audio interface and RightMark Audio Analyzer
A digital multimeter such as a Fluke 189 to set calibrated levels on
the audio interface and measure continuity, voltages, resistances,
capacitances, frequency etc.

Those two items give you a lot of test bench power. A real oscilloscope
would be a bonus.
