I'm simply asking for
opinions or shared conventional wisdoms on quality or characteristics of the
Pioneer Elite's sound. Not really interested in psychoanalysis thank you.

but have found a pretty
good deal on a comparable Pioneer Elite Unit of which I have not had an
opportunity to listen to. Looking for some input..the Marantz unit I'm
considering is the sr7001 and the Yamaha is the RX- V2700.

I can't comment but I've heard nice things of Denons too btw.
