Just curious: How else does one evaluate multiple TTs? (other than the
source materials should be the same, of course)

Side by side I'd hope.

Graham

No, I mean in the real world.

Exactly. Apparently Arny and Graham believe it is possible to get side
by side demonstrations of the Continuum, the Rockport, and the
Clearaudio. In the real world, you listen as much as possible, you do
as much research as possible, and you make the manufacturers jump
through hoops if you're going to spend that kind of money on their
product.

At those prices, you're not actually buying added performance, so you
might as well make them jump though some hoops.

It's about 'status' not audio. It's a lifestyle choice.

Do they send along a crew of people that continually tell you how wise
your purchase was too?

How about some babes to *convince* you ?

Graham

Since you and Stuart are set on making this a class issue, can I deduce
that you are both poor?

Define poor. I certainly have never felt the need to spend money on frivolous trinkets
for sure !

Well, I'm just comparing you to people like Arny and Howard Ferstler,
people who have never been able to afford the finer things in life and
therefore rally against them, saying there are no differences. It's
amazing how the objectivists spend more time railing against the
high-end than listening to their own ****ty audio systems.

Poor in spirit even ? Or is that you ?

What does "poor in spirit" mean? Are you low on Guinness, mate?
