For some reason, whenever the horrific images of these 2 momentarily cross my
consciousness (for a very bried period, thankfully), I somehow visualize a
sinister torturer or grand inquisitor (played by Boris Karloff, of course),
waited on with dumb, slavish, foot-dragging, salivating devotion by his loyal
puppet. (played by Peter Lorre or "Special Ed" from Crank Yankers).
