Hi

could you please tell me what kind of budget hi-fi (cd, amp, columns)
can one buy for, say, around 700 Euros? It is for a squared living room
(7x7 m) with three walls and an half, two windows, two sofas and wood
forniture, and, preferably, to ear classical music.

The alternatives I'm aware a
- Bose Wave system
- Tivoli Audio
- CD and Amp from Cambridge Audio with Visonik Revo 2 columns

Any suggestion is welcome!

Nad C320 integrated amp, Sony ES universal player, and your favorite
speakers.

I don't know British bargain speakers. In the US, I'd recommend
Infinity, Paradigm, and PSB.

He appears to be posting from Portugal as it happens. However the same
products
ought to be widely available throughout the EU.

Iberian hifi? Maybe French speakers would be easier to find.
