Socky is cornered by reality.
Not a good strategy at all.
Kerry comes off like an asshole.
On this occasion, he comes off as a courageous teller of dirty
secrets. If Kerry wins the election, the stench of the dirty deals
by Dubya & Co. that will be uncovered will envelop the entire
federal government.
Only to the Bush hating left. The rest of America realizes
that this kind of stupidy and indiscretion is not particularly
desirable in a president.
Bush called that Times guy a "major-league" something or other before
the last election. Is that a different kind of stupidiy and
indiscretion?
He was talking about the media. Obviously not a problem.
So, yes?
Why would Bush be ungrateful to the media?
Because in the case of the NY Times they have a very obvious left wing
agenda.
That explains why they buried Gore in the last election.
He called one person an asshole, that's not the same as calling the whole GOP
crooks without any names or actual evidence.
Crooked. Considering the considerable distortions of his voting record
and the attempted class warfare, Kerry might feel he has evidence.
Instead of examining the
issues last time round, the electorate was given "inventing the
internet" jokes while Bush got a free pass.
There was the little matter of the fact that Gore ran an unbelievably bad
campaign.
He couldn't even win his own state.
Perhaps, but even a good campaign needs some cooperation from the media.
Bush may have gotten some slack the first time around because he was and
still is percieved by many as a genuinely nice guy.
Odd, because he isn't.
After 8 years of Clinton and the nastiness of Gore as a campaigner it
wouldn't
be all that hard to imagine some reporters felling like they could show him a
bit of grace.
It's true the press corps seemed to have it in for Clinton and Gore.
What was that about liberal bias?
