consider themselves audio professionals, and no one here is going to
trust a piece of software to combine several critical functions into
a single pass.


It's worse than that. He's also cross posted into a NG dedicated to
satellite radio, which has NOTHING to do with audio software. And I
won't mention the appropriate NG that he missed completely, even though
they'd likely not be thrilled with "adaptive normalization" either --
either the term or its apparent definition.
