These days, legit record labels don't sign anyone, they just sell their
back catalogue. But that's ANOTHER rant for a different day.

Well that's a good point, I haven't heard of 'A&R guys' going to gigs for over
a decade. I think they go to South By Southwest and that's it... so I guess
aspiring bands should play a gig in Austin during South By Southwest.
