Interesting. When I competed SQ in IASCA we were required to wear ear
protection in the vehicle for the SPL test, and if your system could go
over about 120db were not allowed in the vehicle at all during the test.
For the unlimited SPL people were outside the vehicle operating the
system with some type of remote. I quit competing after 1995 IASCA
World Finals so it may have changed since then.
