Incidentally, I am happily retired (well, semi-retired) from
the audio-journalism business, and glad to be done with it.
I am still interested in audio (have made some upgrades to
both my audio and video gear lately) and realize more than
ever that it is easy to get really good sound without
spending gobs of money. Some of you nitwits will never
realize this, of course. Mercifully, for the nitwit
contingent ignorance is often bliss.


You, my dear professional audio clown, will never realize
that I haven't spent a lot of money to get great sound,
and that the most I ever spent on any one component was $1,900
and that was for a pair of speakers. Hey, once a professional
audio clown, always a professional audio clown, you are one for life.
