Default cross correlation

Cross correlation is not the sort of thing you're going to find in
any editing software, because it's not something that's useful
for editing. It's one of a suite of functions used in signal analysis.
I had mentioned cross correlation because it's one of many
tools I use for signal analysis.

However, you still haven't given us enough information to allow
us to be helpful. What exactly are you trying to do:

1. Do you have two existing WAVE files, one going into a comm
system and the other coming out of that system that you need
to analyze? If so, this leads to one set of choices, most of
which require a lot of work, expensive tools, or both.

2. DO you have an existing comm channel that you want to
measure the noise being iintroduced, and do you have
freedom as to what you can send over that channel to
measure the noise? If so, that leads to a different set of
choices, which are generally easier can less expensive.
The suggestion of Audio Rightmark Analyzer is certainly
one viable choice that's relatively easy and free.

What kind of comm link is it? That may dictate how it's
measured and whether even the WAVE files you apparently
already have are suitable to the task or not.
