You have a laptop computer that has separate line and headphone
outputs? That's pretty unusual. And even more unusual that they're
different connectors. I suspect that what you think is the line output
is actually something else. You won't hurt anything by using the
headphone outupt. Just keep the volume control down on the amplifer
until the music on your conmputer starts playing, then bring the volume
up. That way you won't get blasted.
