Default Shipping Reel to Reel Tape Decks

wrote:

I imagine that shipping something like a Tascam MS-16 or Studer A807
w/stand and metervbridge requires wooden crating etc. I have no idea
where I could have this done in the Washington D.C. area or if it's
even possible to use box boxes and a ton of shipping peanuts. Just
getting these things somewhere to be crated is a huge hassle for me.
Any ideas out there?

If the items are too heavy after crating to be sent via
the the usual suspects (FedEx, UPS) you mightcheck
out C&F "Craters and Freighters" for a terminal in your
area. I used them to ship my console interstate.
If needed they go out and pickup, custom build the crate
and packaging on a pallet and arrange shipping through
a common carrier, and delivery at the destination.

In my case I had to have them go out and pickup, at my
end I went to their terminal and uncrated, and they helped
me load it into my hatchback. Flexible, depending on your
needs.
