What is your opinion of the tweak suggested by Sam Tellig, which
involves
spraying a CD with Armorall Protectant? Do you feel it increases
the
clarity
of the reproduction?

I thought you didn't want to be associated with these so-called
"silly
tweaks" Robert? Didn't you tell me you couldn't even talk about
the
ideologies associated with them, it's such a "hot potato" topic?
So
WHY
all of a sudden would you ask a stupid question like that,
Robert?
That's rhetorical btw. I already know why, and I'm disappointed
that
you would do this. Even after all these years of battling
McCarty,
you
didn't learn anything, because you really don't make a very smart
scam
artist. I don't know that you ever will, but I will try to help
you
for
the next time that you try to "get me", by giving you a tip:
don't
go
too far. Reign it in.

I'm sorry. I thought it was a fair question.

Oh. You mean you were actually serious, and you didn't know about
the
armor-all eating through the CDs and were't trying to set me up?
Well,
if that's the case then.... sorry for the rant! I guess that makes
Apology no. 2 on my behalf. And that's as many as I've _ever_ made.
I'm
getting pretty good at this!

I can't swear that my intentions were all good. Yet there might have
been
another side. And I'm enjoying this.
You now have my permission to call me an evil, nasty man.

Well, I still don't know what your intentions were. Why don't you tell
me what your intentions were, so I know what to call you. e.g. Did you
know about the discs becoming defective from the armor-all?

Yes, I did.

I knew it! I retract apology no. 2, because it wasn't a fair question
then, if you already knew the tweak was harmful. I do not advocate any
knowingly harmful tweaks, which is why I do not advocate anything I
have not tried myself, and know for myself it is safe and effective.
But since people on this group are afraid to even try new tweaks which
can not possibly do any harm (and take seconds to apply), the question
of trying tweaks that can possibly do harm is a moot point.

Understood, but please put to my credit that I saved you some possible
backlash from those owners of amps with floating outputs who might have
tried the grounding tweak.
