That selective quoting? Would you care to alter that statement to reflect
reality?
Well, to be fair, yes that WAS selective quoting because he qualified
that statement by saying that he reached that conclusion because he
had never seen such a turntable.
Gee Dave. Explain this: how is it that YOU are able to see their
"selective quoting", but the two evil goofs that call themselves "Walt"
and "Trevor" can't, after quoting one half of my statement 25 times
over between the two of them?
Never let it be said that RAO regulars will let "truth" stand in the
way of a good battle. Most people here wouldn't recognize anything that
remotely resembled "truth" if it knocked them upside the head. Hence
the reason most people here are trying to knock each other upside the
head.
Now, that's pretty inexplicable for a Brit who one assumes would be
fairly familiar with Rega products.
But that's a different matter
entirely (that, and the strange leap of logic that forced him to come
to the conclusion in the first place).
There was no "strange leap of logic" on my part. That comes from you,
from saying all Brits must be familiar with Rega turntables (If I may
be so bold, I assume by the context of your phrase that when you say
"products", you're referring to their record decks, Dave. I've never
seen a Rega CD player or loudspeaker come with a grounding wire. Now
don't be like Ragin' Trevor The Troll or Whimpering Walt and make the
dumb assumption that this means I'm saying the Rega CD players and
loudspeakers don't come with grounding wires. I'm only saying I haven't
seen any).
And to respond to your comment, I believe I am "fairly familiar" with
Rega products, including their record decks. I have a Rega Planar 2
sitting in my closet for the last 2 years, along with a new Reson Reca.
I've never actually gotten around to installing it and using the deck,
so I've never noticed whether the RB250 it contains does come with a
grounding wire. Now I'm not saying it does. I'm just saying I haven't
actually seen it....
And let me point out that one would be hard pressed to find so many
people (like Trevor the Rageaholic, Walt Whineman and Steven "I'm a
scientist, I swear!" Sullivan) who can obsess and argue for so long
over the most petty and trivial things, concentrated in such a small
venue.
