If you're noticing this will all the tapes you play, including
pre-recorded tapes, you may be able to lessen the crosstalk yourself,
with a little tweaking on the playback head. mark

The same was noticeable on an A700. I brought it to the shop and the
head was perfectly in line. it must be a revox head design fault

Again, doubtful, since I have never encountered either and A77, B77,
or A700 that exhibited this problem.
