Default Does this sound like a real acoustic piano ?

I uploaded an mp3 and I'd be grateful if you'd take a listen and let me
know if you think this is a real or sampled piano. A guy tries to
"sell" this as a real piano but I think it's a digital keyboard of
sampled piano sounds. Either way I think it sounds like crap but I'd
really like to know what YOU think. Thanks in advance.

I don't have great ears, but...

No, this does not sound anything like any acoustical-mechanical
device I've ever heard, nor do I think it is a "digital keyboard of
sampled piano sounds." A cheap spinet would be insulted to be compared
with this.
Many years ago I owned a Casio CZ-101, I think I could get it to
make sounds approaching this recording, but the recordin is probably a
step or two below a Cheesy-101, this may have been made with the
General MIDI Piano setting on a Soundblaster card.

There are people on another group that can apparently tell a
Steinway from other brands by listening to a well-recorded mp3. Please
don't subject them to this.
I'm quite ashamed that I can idenify low-end crap better than real
pianos, but at least I can hear the difference between the two.

"Either way I think it sounds like crap ..." then that's all you
need to know.
