snip, illrelevant to following
Now, as to that personal information. Do you remember that I told you
that my sister died when she was 40 and I was 28? Here's how she died:
A man walked into her front door and raped her and then beat the life
out of her. So gee wiz, pardon me if a man with whom I'd had an
argument online and who had threatened me drives 100 miles and shows up
at my door at night unannounced. Call me picky, I guess. Are you happy
now? Isn't it neat to bring this into a group about a freaking hobby?
Do you want the crime report number of my sister's case? What will make
you happy now, Arny? I'm here to serve your wishes.
Jenn, I never felt your response to a known internet correspondent appearing
at night at your door was paranoid. I saw it as prudent.
Thanks, I agree.
Given what you
just outlined above, I'd say it probably scared the crap out of you, and
your reaction was totally understandable, even admirably restrained. I
probably would have called the police, were I in your shoes.
A. I probably should have.
B. You'd look funny in my shoes :-)
