BTW, what did you give your children?

I got my son a Lionel G scale Thomas the Train (he is 2.9, and Thomas is
like the rolling stones to him or something) along with the usual
educational software and other stuff that he really should have but won't
thrilled to open on christmas morning.

I also got him a new UA M610 preamp, a Neumann U87 and a sound card. Since
he isn't old enough to use it yet, I will put it to good use in the mean
time.... I don't want my son to have to pay vintage prices in 14 years, when
I can get the stuff he will call vintage, cheap now : )

I bought my wife a ProTools HD192 with an extra card and a dual G5 add in
workstation with a movie screen.

"This looks sooo cool. Lets hook it to the internet."

"Ehhhh Ahhhh.... I don't think that's such a good idea honey. The networking
might interfere with your sound card. We wouldn't want to do that, because
it sounds really good (cheesy smile). It's probably going to take a few
months to set this up. I am going to go down to the studio to start setting
it up where all my disks are, and get everything working. I'll see you in, 4
months? "
