Part of the mission is to keep as many folks as possible buried in that
stupid 'conservative vs. liberal' sandbox fight so they can't see
daylight otherwise. I think that strategy is called 'divide and
conquer.'

And every so often they add another point of contention - be it
guns(both want to take them away), taxes(both want your money to
spend), or whatever is the hot topic of the season. All to
deflect attention from the real truth - that politicians by and
large are in it for themselves at your expense.
