You are still going to have to wire up the power to the speakers, or
change
a lot of batteries, so why bother? Running wire is not that difficult.

I agree. You have spent a reasonable amount of money on a pretty good
surround system. To get a good wireless system that doesn't degrade the
audio quality to a noticeable point is going to cost a lot of money. I would
just hide the cables as best as possible.
