Thanks much to all who replied with very helpful information. At least

now
I
know where to start. :-) Btw, the folks who provided websites, BIG thank
you! Saves me a lot of trouble hunting.

Apologies to the first few posters. I didn't mean to get people fighting
over this. I'm not an audio expert; I just know what I like and what

doesn't
not appeal to me. Bose just cost a tad more than what I felt I'd pay for

it.
No reason, logic or techie stuff to back it. Just a gut feel. :-)

Thanks again.

It is an opinion NG after all. It seems the Big Cheesehead is a fan of

their
products.

Then why do you insist on speaking for everyone? You want to give your own
personal opinion, that is fine. Just refrain from speaking for me in the
future. I am perfectly capable of giving my own opinion and so is everybody
else on this NG.

The bottom line as always with audio, is get what YOU like.

That doesn't fit with your opinion on everybody elses opinion. Your opinion
is that Bose is not worth the money, therefore, since you dislike Bose and
speak for everyone else, then Angie must dislike Bose also.

Hello,
I've been "borrowing" the Bose Acoustimas 6 for some time while

sharing
an
apartment but I'm moving to my own place next week so I'm thinking

about
getting a similar setup. While I don't really have any major

complaints
about the BA6, I find it rather pricey.

Does anyone know of other products in that category but has a lower

price
tag? Will be using this for both my TV and stereo. I listen to Jazz &
Techno(yes, weird mix) quite a lot with other stuff thrown in

occassionally
(absolutely no country!). A little more solid, low bass would be nice.

Thank you very much.
