I don't know if he has been fully translate but you should read a famous
french writer (poet, jazzman...) call *Boris Vian*. I especially
recommend you a novel call "L'arrache coeur".

Outside of the NYC library system, it's practically impossible to access
small-edition European novels. I regret this very much. I also regret that I
am not fluent in French. In college, my great irritation was with the accent
marks! Is this a problem with French school children also?
