I just purchased an Apex DVD player that will play (in addition to
DVDs) CD, CD-R, CD-RW, mp3 CDs, wma CDs. In the video realm, it plays
DVD, DVD-R, DVD+R, JPEG photos, Kodak picture CDs. All this for $35 +
tax. Look in Sears for the Apex AD-1225.

Drawbacks? Sure. No front panel display.

Norm, I hate to say it but you may have over spent.

A Wal*Mart flyer just showed up offering the Apex AD-1130W for $29.87, with
remote but again with no display on its front panel.
