Harold aspires to be thought of as pompous. Pompous, as a descriptive word,
tends to imply a knowledge of the subject at hand. I'd say twittery describes
Clerkie's natterings better because they're empty and voluminous and they are as
quickly forgotten as uttered.

As far as you being pompous, all that accusation means is that Harold is
frustrated at being shown up by somebody more knowledgeable. This is a tactic
Harold uses very often. He labels everybody who doesn't buy into his religious
dogma with a few silly smears. It means nothing to a Normal person.
