Ummmm, do we *really* need all of these updates?

I would argue that the "community" was a little bit larger in this
case - right doggie?
Well, all I recall is that you reminded me of chicken little on that
day, flitting around transcribing everything you and all the rest of
us were seeing on CNN. Frankly, you looked much sillier than Scott
because you were just as removed as the rest of us on 9/11, while
Scott is watching this happen out his backdoor.
That might be your perspective. I'd have to say though that 9-11
affected me (and *everyone* on this group, regardless of what country
they're from) far more than the fires in So. Cal is going to.
The main reason that I continued posting about it was that several
people wrote me privately and said that they were at work and didn't
have access to the media (and so I figured that, given word to the
contrary, there were likely a lot of people in that same boat).
These people were at work, able to get usenet, yet weren't able to
type in
www.cnn.com ? Who are these people?
And
nobody thought (at least not articulated) that my "reportage" was
excessive. I was *asked* to continue posting what *some* of us were
seeing on CNN and NBC. Not one person said that it was excessive.
If it had bothered you, you should have said something, just like *I*
did.
shrug
Nice to find out that I've had such an effect on you though. It swells
me with pride...
You're next on the list, pal...
I'm kidding, of course!
