"Possibilty" is the operative word here. Either you have them or you
don't. It doesn't vary, and it's not random. If you have artifacts,
you have a crappy system, and chances are they've already been
introduced into your recording. My point is that if you really care
about your recording, you won't have crap, so you won't have problems.
You shouldn't give up the flexibility because something might happen.
If it does, you'll hear it. And if you can't hear it, either it didn't
happen or you aren't really ready to worry about it.
