Unlike you, I've won a default judgment. However, I had to argue my case as
if the defendant was there. I had to answer a number of tough questions from
the judge. The only thing that was missing was contrary testimony from the
defendant. My case was solid and I won. But The defendant's interests were
fairly represented in the trial even though he had defaulted.

I realize you are completely out of that loop but you will eventually get
it.
