That goes without saying.
If your cat would behave any different, it'd be a dog.


Don't be so quick to generalize. Aloofness varies by the individual
kittycat. One of mine is aloof, but the other one is almost doglike in some
ways.



Of course, each cat is an individual.
However, what Dave wrote is true: when a cat doesn't want to do
something, you can't do anything about that.
