That is not correct. There is no bandwidth limitation with DTS. However,
Dolby Digital removes phase and channel separation information.

Short answer, if you want to hear true Dolby Digital Surround, you need

frequency Center and Rear Surround speakers. If you only want to hear DTS
properly then don't worry about the upgrade.


Not true again. DTS is superior in all aspects to Dolby Digital.
