Yup. Both Long Term Disability Insurance and SSDI came thru, after a Long
Pause. They first try and scare you to death or suicide, saves them a
bundle.
My wife had already been down that road, so I just blew off their blah
blah.
Plus, it is really pretty easy to act cool when you are unconscious

I had
two machines, one with 4K and one monster with 12K. I toggled the
bootstrap
loader in thru the front panel and then loaded via Teletype KSR-33.
Punched
paper tape flew by the read head at 110.5 baud!

Don't complain. The russian copy of the IBM 360 had an amazing card reader.
My mom worked on a 360... I think it made here the nervous wreck she is
now... People actually had breakdowns in front of that card reader...

On a good day, I could load the 12K machine in under an hour

Other days I would sit at the machine trying to load it all day and go
home
defeated

The past really sucked. That is why I left

Hey, you're lucky you got disability when you did. Now if you're able to
ask for it, you don't qualify, and, if you're not able to ask for it, you
[obviously] don't get it. I have *2* cases pending in mass superior court:
Me vs State Of Mass. You know, it costs money to sue the state, and only
through making nice to court clerks was i able to waive the fees (some). I
think the judge should take herself off the case - since thee are
conflicting interests - she's paid by the very state I'm suing...
