Arny has given some good advice.
He knows quite afew things.
Unfortunately, he thinks he knows more than he does, including a few
things
that are inimical to this hobby, such as "all properly operating
amplifiers
sound the same."

So it's bad to tell the truth.

Arny is like a little ayatollah. He wants to sweep away the corruption
and
deception that characterizes some of the high end,

And that's wrong because.......?

but he fails to see that
there is much of that edifice that legitimately provides enjoyment,
even if
the modalities elude him.

So if people know that they are spending extra money on cosmetics and
not sound quality, what will happen?

Hi-Fi gear that didn't preform any better than regular priced gear.

Imagine for a moment that Arny achieved his wish to sterilize the high
end,
in such a way that no one could be cheated by his imagination,
protected
from that danger by universal adoption of ABX before every purchase.
Imagine also that Arny's occasional wish that individuals without ABX
experience were denied the right to voice their opinions.

I'd reather imagine a world where those who criticised him, didn't find
it neccessary to mischaracterize his words, like you seem to do.

Imagine a gathering of hifi enthusiasts, at a wine & cheese gathering,
their
lips sealed against idle chatter, at the order of Arny Krueger, who
forbade
them to voice their subjective opinions.

Or better yet, Imagine RAO without the usual gang of liar and idiots.

Or perhaps, Arny would give permission for these opinions to be
voiced,
provided that those who hear them agree to receive a memory-erasing
drug
before auditioning prospective equipment via ABX.

This is Arny's universe. He believes certain things, and has made it

to the adoption of his belief system. Islam calls these nonbelievers

Perhaps Arny would call them "low fidels".

And the demonstrable facts are that all properly fucntioning amplifiers
tend to sound alike. Of course if you have any non-anecdotal evidence
to the contrary, please post it. Or do you simply prefer to be the
lying asshole you just showed yourself to be?
