are you talking about? Are you Russian or Ukranian?

I am descended from Germans who emigrated to Russia during the reign of
Catherine the Great, and spent several generations in the Ukraine. They
also
spend some time in Siberia, Moscow and other places.



29 million of those ethnic Germans caught up in Stalin's genocide? I thought
his total for
all of the extinguished humanity was about 32 million. I certainly don't
doubt it happened, I am just surprised by your number. At any rate, it was
horrible. Fortunately, my parents escaped during the Lenin era. I am
a half Ukrainian, half Belarusian Jew
