Rule # 1: if it has screws, it can be opened.
Rule # 2: dissemble it and find out how it works.
Rule # 3: it probably won't fit together again, so buy a new one.
In the case of the mouse I recommended to Art, it was specific mouse whose
plug color I know from personal experience.
I know, most modern mouses and keyboards have standardized colors.
In the US, 95% or more of all mice from new production have green plugs.
Here as well. I just love that old stuff .
