Hmmm . . . I thought I was the Mackie HDR expert here, and I wasn't
aware that HDR Pro was a BIOS chip. There's a BIOS upgrade that lets
it recognize drives larger than 30 GB (up to 120 GB) but that's $50. I
do know that HDR Pro isn't a very good match for the current version
of Pro Tools, so the value added is really the Firewire drive case and
carrier.

Still, I think it's a good deal for someone who wants the whole
package.

And whoever buys this should buy my book, The Last Mackie Hard Disk
Recorder Manual.
