I haven't used the B1, but I prefer the NT1A to the C1. I understand
the B1
is a lesser model than the C1, and they both use chinese-made
diaphrams,
while the shortcomings of the NT1A certainly aren't due to the
diaphram,
which is the same as the NT1000 and NTK.

I should clarify that I only consider the NT1 and NT1A runts because
they
are overpriced compared to better Rode mics. I still put them ahead
of the
chinese mics (Studio Projects, ADK, Apex, MXL, etc), some of which
cost
more.


Thats intreasting news. Espesially since almost everyone has for a
while been raving the C1. Ill stick to getting the NT1a.
