The CC-2 has voice matching but only for high frequencies while the
CC-3 has both mid and high. Most talk of dynamic range and ability to
play loud as the motivators for buying the CC-3.

That's their opinion. My opionion is that voice matching is very worthwhile.
I use 1/3 octave equalizers to achieve it.

Also I think folks
without Inifinity speakers think they can match the CC-3 to any old
main speakers as this feature is very rare.

I wish them all the luck in the world! ;-)

The manufacturer just wants you to buy a matching set and doesn't bother
with such controls.

Given that buying a matching set doesn't guarantee voice matching, that
seems kind of self-defeating.
