I seem
to recall that they once had a presence here as a source of some
pretty nice-looking but rumbly turntables.

And yes, the opening overture of elac bashing was with the "rumbly
turntables" bit .. But given the fact that you have the credibility of a
gaping asshole and you don't want to further put your head up the ass of
the donkey you *try* for a retracting job, and fail miserably: "Note
