I was in Boston a few weeks ago. Home of both Bose and Cambridge
Soundworks. At any rate, after comparing the new Bose Wave Music
System to the Cambridge Soundworks 740...I found my conclusion was the
same as your panel...MUCH to my surprise. Even if both units had cost
the same, I would have purchased the Cambridge 740. Add the $150 price
difference and it becomes a no brainer. Purchasers seem to be paying
for Bose' extensive and expensive ad campaign rather than for the
quality of the Bose radio. Not to say the Bose was bad. IF I had not
known about the Cambridge740, and I had listened to the new Bose, I
would have purchased the Bose...no doubt about it.
