As Boris said, its dumb crap.
Eg one con listed for the
"Stealth 50-50" cable is that "Piano and cymbal decay too quickly".
So
even after the mix you can now control the decay time of individual
instruments.
Decay time of piano tones is one of those things that can be evaluated
using a good audio editor. I do a lot of live recording of music
including piano playing, so I'm familiar with this. In fact you can
detect a piano tone decaying into the noise floor quite easily. The
kind of wire you use makes absolutely no difference.
And you guys thought you knew all about this stuff!!!
And so we do. Do you know how much conventional wire is in the signal
path for just about any commercial recording? If piano tone decay was
altered by conventional wire, there would be nothing left of it by the
time the signal reached any esoteric wire that might be in your
personal audio system.
Seriously, it seems like all this "super cable" stuff is not only
perpetuating, but flourishing.
I don't see it happening. If you'd like to claim that stupidity is
increasing as the population increases, I'd be willing to listen a bit
more to what you have to say.
