Bass appears detached and lives its own life without being integrated

I'd echo that. It sounds like the bass has been added on in another
time-and-space, possibly by somebody not involved in the original
perfomances....

The rest seems well integrated and balanced. Except maybe the BVs at the
very end of the sample (last 5 sec) seem a bit 'elsewhere' too.

If I were you I'd find a better room ;-)
