I don't know. As I said, I thought Bush was a lot more articulate than he
normally is, but I was disappointed that neither one of them really talked
much about social issues outside of the 9/11 and terrorism things. I would
not give either one of them much credit for explaining why their policies
in general are better than the other guy's.

Sure, we have economic problems, and sure we have a war going on, but what
do they _really_ think about what the war on drugs is doing to our foreign
relations? What do they really think about broadcast ownership rules or
education reform?

Was there that kind of disparity in what you heard compared to what the
pundits have been saying?


I don't have a TV set, and I didn't get the Post this morning, so I don't
know what the pundits are saying yet.
