Interesting. Since you heard it on the radio, how did you view the results?
In the JFK/Nixon debate, JFK came out strong on TV, but interestingly
enough, those that listened on the radio thought that Nixon handily won the
debate.
Was there that kind of disparity in what you heard compared to what the
pundits have been saying?

Actually, I thought he was much more articulate than usual in this debate.
Neither Kerry nor Bush can hold a candle to Reagan at thinking on their
feet and coming up with quick answers, though, and it really showed. What
I would like to see is for the both of them to debate Tony Blair. That
would be a real death match.
What disturbed me was the huge amount of breath noise on Bush's voice,
which
definitely did not make him sound like he was in good control. Was he
miked
this way deliberately? You could hear him take a deep breath in before
every
question. I heard the debate on the radio so I couldn't see how he was
miked, but I am surprise it wasn't corrected in a run-through.
