If you have a few minutes, I'd be interested in any constructive

feedback
on
this track.

Since Phil has put it on his site, I see no harm in pointing you folks

at
it
for any critique you care to offer.

I recorded and mixed it here at my studio, and it was mastered at Studio
301, Sydney.

I feel like the bottom end is still a bit 'big', but since we'll be
getting
the whole album mastered as a whole, I'll get that looked at then.

The arrangement etc is a collaboration between Phil and myself, and we

are
about to start work on two more tracks.

I played guitar, bass, and keys, Phil did the vocal, and a friend, Evan
Williams played drums.

Phil lives in Auckland, I live in Wellington (about 7 hours drive) so we
collaborate via mp3 ideas, and he flies down for a few days to track
vocals
and work on mixes.

Anyway, I'm interested in any comments.

Flame suit on

cheers

Geoff

On my setup the bass sounds a little strong.
What bugs me more is it feels too mono. Pan some things harder left and
right.

And good luck getting the 40 & 50 somethings to put down the wine glass

and
pick up the record. g

ouch!

Yeah, the bass feels a bit big here too. I havent touched it post-mastering,
so thats for a revisit come album time.

Funny, over here it feels pretty stereo, and when I hit MONO on the console,
it shrinks right in. When I unhit MONO again, it goes 'woosh" and feels
wide.

Oh well, back to the drawing board on that one

Hey thanks for the feedback though!!

Anyone else?

cheers

Geoff
