I used to work for a company that collected data from these very sites
(Gateway, Dell, HP, etc. -- all the major PC manufacturers), and we had
to grab web pages from them on a regular basis. From that experience,
let me tell you one thing: anything's possible with a PC manufacturer's
web site! They had $10,000 server systems on for $100 sometimes (just
for an hour or two), or they'd have things like a CD-ROM drive or
printer or other accessory with a negative price. All kinds of crazy
things.
