Me too. There is not effort on the digital side in gettting any of the PCM
off the disc. D-As are D-As . What they may be referring to is that the
audio power amp may not be able to adequately pump out full volume peaks,
which is not a situation unique to cars (but can be exacerbated by only a
12VDC supply in 'basic' players).
That's nothing to do with the digital content of the CDs.
