Thanks for all the responses. I ordered a HHB 830 (successor to the
850) a couple of days ago. Unfortunately they are on a two week
backorder from the factory.

I asked here on RAP about stand alone CD recorders a couple of months ago.

I bought the HHB CDR-850. It is great! Easy to use and the end results
is very good.

The only weakness I have found is the headphone preamp is pretty wimpy,
and the detail is really lacking. I run the HHB off my Masterlink, and
the Masterlink headphone preamp is head and shoulders above the HHB.

I would buy another HHB if needed.
